The goal of Community Policing is to solidify the relationship between local law enforcement and the residents by working together as one.

  • With the assistance of local law enforcement participation, we will empower target area residents with the knowledge and ability to make positive lasting changes in their neighborhoods.
  • To implement a City standard for establishment and management of Block Coalitions and activities accomplished within.
Objectives
  • Increase number of block coalitions by 25%
  • Increase membership in existing block coalitions by 25%
  • Increase Individual Neighborhood Watch Groups by 10%
  • To Increase Positive Perception of Police Involvement by 5%
  • Create Youth involvement in Community Policing
  • Form Lasting Partnerships with local law enforcement agencies
  • Increase number of block coalitions by 25%
  • Increase membership in existing block coalitions by 25%
  • Increase number of neighborhood watch groups by 10%
  • Increase number of resident assisted arrests by 10%
  • Generate program income to assist with sustainability of Weed & Seed programming
